National lobbying

The lobbying work of SKAL is based on regular contact and interaction with the policymakers who determine the operating conditions of road haulage businesses. The objective is to influence policymaking with a view to improving the operating situation of road haulage and logistical enterprises, and predicting social changes and legislative amendments.

SKAL representatives maintain close contact with individual Members of Parliament, members of the main parliamentary committees, parliamentary caucuses and political parties, as well as government ministers and their political advisers and officials in various ministries. SKAL is also involved in the process of preparing legislation, submitting proposals, issuing informed opinions, participating in ministerial working groups and appearing before parliamentary committees.
